Data Deletion Instructions

Last updated: November 1, 2026

Shift Code does not ask anyone to log in with Threads or Facebook, and we never receive access tokens of other Threads users. The only Threads data we may hold about you is a copy of a public post of yours that our tool found through the Threads API (post ID, text, link, username, timestamp).

How to ask us to delete your data

  1. Send an email to shift.code@icloud.com with the subject "Delete my Threads data".
  2. Include your Threads username and, if you can, the link to the post.
  3. We delete every stored copy of your posts and any notes linked to them, and confirm by email within 30 days.

You do not need to give a reason. We may ask you to confirm that the request comes from the owner of the Threads account.

Automatic deletion

Public post data is deleted automatically after 30 days even if you do not contact us.

Other ways to stay in control

If you delete a post on Threads, we can no longer retrieve it. You can also make your Threads profile private, and our tool will not see your posts.
