Privacy Policy

Shift Code ("we", "us") operates https://shift-code.net and an internal tool that uses the official Threads API. This policy explains what data we process and how you can control it. Contact: shift.code@icloud.com.
1. Who we are
Shift Code, Dnipro, Ukraine. We build websites, run online advertising and automate lead handling for small businesses. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Meta or Threads.
2. Data we process
- Website visitors. If you send us a request through a form on the site, we receive the details you enter (for example name, phone, email, messenger and message). To count visits we use our own analytics without cookies: anonymous page views, the country determined from your IP address, the browser and the source of the visit (referrer, UTM tags). Your IP address itself is not stored.
- Public Threads posts. Through the official Threads API (permissions threads_basic and threads_keyword_search) our tool searches public posts for keywords that show someone is asking for web development or advertising services. For each matching post we receive the post ID, text, link, username, timestamp and media type.
- Our own Threads account. We use the basic profile data (ID and username) of our own Threads account to authenticate with the API.
3. How we use the data
We use public posts only to find people who publicly ask for web development or advertising services, and to show those posts to our staff. A member of our team may then reply manually to the post. We do not send automated messages, we do not post on anyone's behalf, and we do not build profiles of people beyond the public post data listed above. We do not use Threads data to train or fine-tune any AI model. Contact form data is used only to answer your request.
4. Retention
Public Threads post data is stored for up to 30 days and then deleted. Contact form requests are kept for up to 12 months. We delete data earlier on request (see section 6).
5. Sharing
We do not sell personal data and do not share Threads data with advertisers or data brokers. We share data only with service providers that host or process it for us under our instructions (our server hosting provider, our database provider and our CRM), and when the law requires it.
6. Your rights and data deletion
You can ask us to give you access to, correct, or delete the data we hold about you, or object to its processing. To have a stored copy of your Threads post removed, follow the steps at https://shift-code.net/data-deletion or email shift.code@icloud.com. We respond within 30 days. Deleting a post on Threads also stops us from retrieving it again.
7. Security
Access to stored data is limited to our staff, and API access tokens are kept in restricted, secure storage.
8. Children
Our services are not directed to children and we do not knowingly collect their data.
9. Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version.
